Cinder may be a well known name in Atlanta’s commercial production market, but it’s still a small business at heart. We’re a 15-person team that supports everything from national commercials to indie short films, and most of us are filmmakers ourselves. We care about doing the job right, but just as much about making sure the people doing it feel respected and fulfilled. On a team this size, everyone pulls their weight, titles are secondary, and we treat each other like people first. If you’re reliable, thoughtful, good at what you do, and want to be part of a crew you actually like working with, we’d love to hear from you.

We are hiring a rental agent to join our office team. Rental agents manage the entire order process from initial inquiry through final invoicing, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and quality customer service. This is a full-time, in-person role at our location in South Atlanta. Rental agents report to the Managing Partner.

Full-time with benefits

Monday thru Friday, 9:00AM-5:30PM

$20-25 starting hourly rate

Job Responsibilities

  • Interact with customers to determine their equipment needs, build quotes, negotiate pricing, and manage payments

  • Coordinate with the warehouse department regarding orders and deadlines to ensure equipment is ready on time

  • Communicate with other rental houses to plan sub-rentals when Cinder doesn’t have everything a customer needs

  • Build a strong knowledge of the lighting and grip inventory

  • Maintain logs and reports to support orders and sub-rentals

  • Perform various data entry tasks as needed

  • Any other reasonable activity required by management

Key Skills

  • Customer Service: Cinder is known for having strong relationships with repeat customers. We aren’t looking for pushy salesmen. An ideal candidate will build rapport with their customers, help them solve their gear problems, and only up-sell when it makes sense.

  • Communication: Things break down when people keep information in their heads. Being able to clearly communicate to other departments and peers ensures that work will be done right the first time.

  • Accuracy and attention to detail: Orders can consist of hundreds of different pieces of gear. Recording information accurately ensures the customer gets exactly what they need.

  • Problem-solving skills: Orders aren’t always clear cut and many require some planning and logistics beyond simple data entry.

  • Flexibility with changing priorities: The film industry is chaotic and fast paced. Rental agents need to be able to roll with the punches as things change throughout a day.
